Our annual Holiday Toy Drive kicks off on Thursday, December 3rd at the Town of Windsor's Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration (PDF). You can donate toys there at the “Marv Stubbs Memorial Toy Drive”, which will be at the Fire Engine located on Honsa & McClelland. Marv Stubbs was an active Kiwanian who previously organized the Toy Drive. Marv passed away this year, and so this year's Toy Drive is in his honor.
We will also have toy collection bins starting on December 3rd at the Windsor Fire Department (both stations), Windsor Police Department, the Windsor (Lakewood Drive) Exchange Bank, and Thumbs Up Burger. We welcome donations from the community at these locations. We will be accepting donations at these locations through December 18th.
Our Club will also have a Wreath and Candy Booth at the Windsor (Lakewood Drive) Exchange Bank parking lot. The Booth will be open from December 4th through December 18th. We are selling beautiful holiday wreaths and a variety of See's Candies (see pod on left for more info). Proceeds from the Booth will be used for the Toy Drive.
The downtown merchants will also be having a Wine Walk (PDF) on December 10th. Tickets are available at Atrellis & Images on McClelland Dr. Tickets are available by pre-sale only and they are only selling 150. The Old Downtown Windsor Association has also placed collection barrels for toys & food at 4 locations around the downtown with signs that say, "Old Downtown Windsor Toy & Food Drive benefiting the Windsor Kiwanis & Windsor Service Alliance Toy & Food Program."
